About Me
I’m originally from Independence, Ohio and graduated from Independence High School and Cuyahoga Valley Career Center with honors in 2009. I am a member of The Ohio State University graduating class of 2013, with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in business. I got my start shooting concerts, sports, and other events for The Lantern as a freelance photographer from August, 2012 to April, 2013. Since then, I have been working as a photographer for ColumbusUnderground.com.
Some more personal info on my tastes and experiences:
- Music: I’ll listen to anything once…or twice…or many, many times. Because of this, my iTunes library is extensive. I particularly love country, rap, and rock, but my musical taste is all over the board, much like the concerts I shoot!
- Sports: I’m a Buckeye for life! Attending one of the greatest sports schools in the country provides an incredible opportunity for a motivated photographer. Obviously, football is the main draw. However, I’ve also had the privilege of shooting soccer, hockey, and basketball games. Additionally, I’m a huge Browns fan. Growing up in Cleveland, you get to know the meaning of adversity at an early age.
- Events: I like to be around passionate people. Whether it’s at a campaign rally for the recent presidential election with over 11,000 attendees or an intimate rehearsal for one of OSU’s theater groups, that passion becomes infectious for me. I have a great time producing images that reflect the emotion of the event I’m covering so others can experience similar feelings.
